Open Positions

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Haifa invites applications for faculty positions at all levels. Our department has recently moved to the new University of Haifa City Campus, in the heart of Haifa’s vibrant port district, and in close proximity (5 minute walk) to the Haifa Center-HaShmona train station, as well as other public transportation options.

We welcome candidates in all areas of computer science, including (but not limited to): 

• Algorithms & Theory of Computing; 

• Security, Privacy & Cryptography; 

• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning; 

• Robotics & Visual Computing; 

• Human–Computer Interaction; 

• Computational Science & Health;  

• Quantum Computing; 

• Systems & Networking; 

• Computer Architecture & Embedded Systems.

In addition, we welcome outstanding candidates from disciplines beyond traditional computer science whose research makes groundbreaking use of AI, provided they have a strong computational background.

Candidates should have a Ph.D in Computer Science or in a closely related field and a strong research record. Candidates interested in being considered for positions starting in October 2027 should apply by November 1st, 2026 for full consideration. Applications may also be reviewed later, until the position is filled.
